The Sun Stream Mini footprint is under 3×3 feet, smaller than most office chairs. We've placed this sauna in Manhattan studio apartments, 1BR units in Brooklyn, and Brickell high-rises in Miami. If you have a corner in your bedroom, home office, or living area, this fits. We confirm your specific layout on the consultation call before anything ships.
What about the elevator? My building has strict delivery rules. +
We've navigated this in dozens of NYC buildings. The sauna ships flat-packed, not as a large assembled unit. We coordinate building access in advance, work within service elevator restrictions, and handle the logistics end-to-end. This is precisely why we exist. National brands don't think about any of this.
Do I need special electrical or any renovation? +
No. The Sun Stream Mini plugs into any standard 120V household outlet, the same kind your lamp or phone charger uses. No dedicated circuit, no electrician, no landlord approval needed for electrical changes.
Will it make the space around it hot? +
No, and this surprises most people. Unlike a traditional Finnish sauna that heats the air around you to 180–200°F, an infrared sauna uses light waves to heat your body directly, not the room. The ambient temperature inside the sauna stays in the 120–140°F range, and the exterior panels stay close to room temperature. Your bedroom or living room won't feel any warmer than it normally would. It's one of the reasons infrared works so well in an apartment setting.
What does EMF-safe actually mean? +
